Christians in the Middle East

The logo for Sydsvenskan

CMES researcher Svante Lundgren has written an article published in Sydsvenskan.

The article, "Nej, den kristna historien i Mellanöstern håller inte på att ta slut" (English translation: "No, Christian history in the Middle East is not coming to an end"), was published on 23 June 2024.

Abstract

The number of Christians has increased dramatically, but their share of the population has decreased. Twenty years ago, many in the West knew nothing about Christians in the Middle East. Today they know one thing: that the Christians of the Middle East are persecuted and in danger of soon becoming a thing of the past. This alarmist view is widespread.
